ITINERARY:

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI, KENYA                                (D)

  • Arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
  • Clear immigraton and customs then meet with local guide and transfer to hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight in Nairobi.

DAY 2 : NAIROBI – LAKE NAIVASHA                                                (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast in hotel and check out.
  • Drive to Lake Naivasha.
  • Continue on for Boat Safari on Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island Walk.
  • Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is situated in the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name, meaning "that which heaves," a common Maasai word for bodies of water large enough to have wave action when it is windy or stormy. Naivasha arose from a British attempt to pronounce the Maasai name. Literally, Lake Naivasha means "Lake Lake."

DAY 3 : LAKE NAIVASHA – MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE              (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast at hotel and check out, proceed to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
  • Upon arrival, proceed for lunch.
  • Continue to Maasai Mara for Afternoon Game Drive inside the Maasai Mara Park.
  • Dinner and overnight in Maasai Mara.

Maasai Mara, sometimes also spelt Masai Mara and locally known simply as The Mara, is a large national game reserve in Narok County, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is named in honour of the Maasai people,the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who migrated to the area from the Nile Basin. Maasai Mara is one of the wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, with its populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs and African bush elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten Wonders of the World.The Great Migration usually happens in July depending on weather as the wildebeest moves in large numbers crossing the Mara River from Tanzania.      

DAY 4 : MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE                              (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast, proceed for Morning Game Drive around the park.
  • Lunch then continue for Maasai Village Visit.
  • Continue for Afternoon Game Drive and optional Hot Air Balloon Safari.
  • Dinner and overnight in Maasai Mara.

DAY 5 : MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE – CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK             (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast then checkout, proceed for full day transfer to Central Serengeti National Park, Tanzania via Isebania Border.
  • Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti National Park.

DAY 6 : CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK                            (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast then proceed for Full Day Game Drive.
  • Boxed lunch while on Game Drive and optional Hot Air Balloon Safari.
  • Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania that stretches over 14,763 km2. It is located in eastern Mara Region and northeastern Simiyu Region and contains over 15,000 km2 of virgin savanna. The park was established in 1940.

The Serengeti is well known for the largest annual animal migration in the world of over 1.5 million western white-bearded wildebeest and 250,000 Grant's zebra, along with between 400-500,000 Thomson's gazelle and smaller herds of common eland.The national park is also home to the largest lion population in Africa.

DAY 7 : CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA           (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast and check out.
  • Road transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with lunch boxes.
  • Upon arrival, continue to Afternoon Crater Game Drive.
  • Dinnner and overnight in Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact, unfilled volcanic caldera, located in northern Tanzania and recognized as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. Formed by a collapsed volcano, its 600-meter-deep walls create a natural enclosure for over 25,000 large mammals—including the Big Five—making it a premier safari destination for spotting endangered black rhino and dense lion populations.

DAY 8 : NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA – ARUSHA                (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast and check out.
  • Proceed to Arusha.
  • Stop along the way for shopping and lunch.
  • Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

DAY 9 : ARUSHA – KILIMANJARO AIRPORT                                     (B)

  • Breakfast and check out.
  • Proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight departure.
  • Depart with fond memories of your amazing Kenya & Tanzania Safari Experience.
